PUERTO MONTT (CHILE), 23/04/2015.- Fotografía de la erupción del volcán Calbuco en la madrugada de hoy, jueves 23 abril de 2015, desde Puerto Montt, a unos 1.000 kilómetros al sur de Santiago de Chile. El volcán chileno Calbuco volvió a entrar hoy en erupción, por segunda vez en varias horas, tras la cual se mantiene la alerta roja en la región. La nueva erupción tuvo lugar a las 01.00 hora local (04.00 GMT), informaron el Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería (SERNAGEOMIN) y el Observatorio Vulcanológico de los Andes del Sur (OVDAS), que han recomendado "continuar con un área de restricción de 10 kilómetros". La inesperada erupción ayer del Calbuco, 43 años después de la última vez, obligó a decretar la alerta roja en las localidades de Puerto Varas y Puerto Montt, al tratarse de una "alta amenaza para la población". Más de 4.000 personas ya han sido evacuadas de los pueblos de Ensenada, Alerce, Colonia Río Sur y Correntoso, en la región de Los Lagos, según el Ministerio del Interior, si bien en la zona afectada viven más de 60.000 pobladores.
